- 1 ½ cups unsweetened oat milk or other creamy milk
- 1 tbsp molasses cooking or fancy
- ½ tbsp maple syrup grade A or B
- ¼ tsp ginger powder
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp nutmeg
- 2 drops vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
Warm oat milk over medium heat until steaming.
Add molasses, maple syrup, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and salt to the oat milk.Whisk until everything is smooth and the spices are fragrant. Taste and adjust flavouring.
Pour into a mug and enjoy with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a small dollop of frothed milk.
- Flavour boost: Add a pinch of extra cinnamon, ground clove, or nutmeg for a more intense gingerbread profile.
- Blended version: For a frothy café-style latte, blend all ingredients for 20–30 seconds before warming, or use a frother.
- Sweeteners: Molasses gives the classic gingerbread depth while maple syrup adds smooth sweetness. Adjust both to taste.
- Lighter version: Reduce maple syrup to ½ tbsp and molasses to ½–1 tsp to bring the latte under 200 calories without losing flavour.
- Milk choice: Oat milk creates the creamiest texture, but almond, cashew, or soy milk can be used as substitutes.
